Dear All!!
What an exciting month August has turned out to be!!
Firstly a quick reminder that the entry deadline for the photo competition is fast approaching so be quick. See post below for details!
And onto the latest news!! I am greatly looking forward to my graduation ceremony in September - I have completed the first part to my degree and I will be awarded a Foundation degree status. Funny to think that I will be able to put letters after my name like a Doctor or Professor have!
However, the final leg of my journey is about to start at the end of September when I head back to university to complete a top up programme which will hopefully result in a BA Hons degree - More letters after my name!! This year, I will be emarking upon event management, floriculture, floral exhibtions, contemporary practical floristry and the most scary aspect . . . . completing a DISSERTATION . . . . . . . and breathe. . . .
Having said this, I am looking forward to researching into my topic for my paper. Its a subject I have always found fascinating and feel it hasnt had the recognition it deserves, nor the organisations who have already got the ball rolling. From the basic research I carried out last year, the 'effects of plants and flowers on social wellbeing' appears to be very much more complex than I has bargined for! The subject is broad, varied and affects communities and indidivuals on a very personal level. Something that I found very surprising.
So therefore I will quit stalling, sign off from my rambling words and hit the library.
